ONLINE THERAPY
ANYWHERE
AROUND THE WORLD
Technological progress has made online therapy a contemporary solution for mental health care.
This new approach has helped us break down barriers, creating flexibility and accessibility both for therapists and for people seeking psychological help.
At first, online therapy might have been seen as somewhat less effective or incomplete, since it was something new and resources were more limited. Today, based on our experience, we’ve seen that remote therapy is just as effective in reaching the desired goals, while offering additional advantages in terms of flexibility—making it an added value overall.
Online therapy offers several advantages over in-person sessions, including greater scheduling flexibility, freedom from location constraints, the comfort of attending from a familiar and safe space like your home, and even the ability to continue therapy while traveling without missing any sessions.
We’ve seen that the therapeutic relationship goes beyond the format itself, as empathy, active listening, and support can be felt and expressed just as deeply as in an in-person session.
Requirements
High speed connection
This is essential for communicating smoothly and effectively, without missing any details. We want to be there with you just as we are during in-person sessions.
Privacy
Ensure you have a confidential space where you can speak openly and freely. Prioritizing privacy is crucial for our work. We advise using headphones during sessions, especially in shared spaces.
Visibility and sound
As part of stablishing connecrtion with you, we need clear audio and video to see and hear you well.
Full Attention
Try to give your full attention to the session and avoid other distractions whenever possible (such as pets, deliveries, phone calls, etc.).
FAQ
Each of us may use different platforms, but the ones we rely on most for security are Zoom and Teams.
Yes, as long as you have a good connection and favorable audio/video conditions, there’s no problem using other devices like tablets or phones.
Although online sessions offer more flexibility, the cancellation policy remains the same: 24 hours before the session.
If technical issues persist despite our best efforts to resolve them, and the therapist determines they’re preventing an effective session, we’ll reschedule for a better time when conditions allow it to proceed smoothly.
For online sessions, we increasingly rely on creativity to adapt exercises we’d typically do in person, so it’s not an obstacle to the therapeutic process.
The therapeutic bond has proven to be just as strong and intimate in online sessions as in in-person ones, since the connection can be established beyond the format, through the emotions experienced and the relationship we build together.
